Radiology Department of Hunan Provincial People's Hospital is one of the earlier established departments of radiology in the province, under the leadership of Professor Liu Jianbin, the current director of Radiology Department, the construction of the department develops rapidly. 06 years the discipline was approved as a master's degree training point, currently for the Hunan Hospital Association of Medical Imaging Management Professional Committee affiliated units, in 2015 as a provincial key specialties, in 16 years, was awarded the Hunan Institute of Integrative Medicine Medical Imaging Professional Committee affiliated units, is also the training base for radiology residents in Hunan Province. It is also the training base for radiology residents in Hunan Province.

The department has more than 80 staff members, including 5 chief physicians, 8 chief brush physicians, 2 deputy chief technologists, the department has served as the provincial medical specialty committee chairman 1 person, 2 vice-chairman, members of the 9 people, 4 times as a professional journal of abbreviation committee, master's degree tutor 1 person. More than half of the physicians have master's degree.

Over the years, the Department of Radiology has undertaken or participated in a large number of national and provincial scientific research projects and achieved a series of scientific research results.
